The Duggars was put in a bad light following Josh Duggar's molestation scandal. Slowly the "19 Kids and Counting" clan are redeeming themselves and are even celebrating Jinger and Jeremy's engagement. Unfortunately, Josh Duggar steals the spotlight again. According to reports, the disgraced son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar is facing another lawsuit.
According to Yahoo! Celebrity, Matthew McCarthy, a Los Angeles-based DJ and photographer is seeking undisclosed damages after Josh Duggar used his photos on his Ashley Madison account. It seemed that Josh wants McCarthy's look so much because he also used McCarthy's photos on his Twitter and OkCupid profiles.
While using Matthew McCarthy's photos initially kept Josh Duggar from the public's prying eyes it put McCarthy in a very uncomfortable and inconvenient position. McCarthy lost his job and endured harassment. In fact, some called him "DJ Duggar" and "Duggar's boy toy."
Due to this, Matthew McCarthy wants Josh Duggar to pay the damages he caused him. In his complaint, McCarthy sited, "prolonged pain and suffering, anxiety, depression, embarrassment, humiliation, loss of self-esteem and extreme and severe mental anguish and emotional distress" as his reasons for his complaint.
The incident also caused McCarthy to lose his self-esteem and confidence. In fact, he is no longer certain if he will still pursue his professional and personal endeavors.
McCarthy also disclosed that aside from him, his close-knit and religious family is enduring the same shame. Obviously, Josh Duggar's porn addiction goes beyond disturbing the Duggars because it is also affecting others' lives.
Parent Herald previously reported that Josh Duggar is one of the million of married individuals who resort to the infidelity website, Ashley Madison to satisfy their sexual fantasies. He even paid almost $1,000 for the site's services.
In a separate report from Parent Herald, one adult film star sued Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's son for battery after her "rough sex" with Josh. "He threw me on the bed and, in all honesty, though it was consensual it more or less felt like I was being raped," Danica Dillon told Entertainment Tonight.
