Brooklyn Nets is making an effort to be active in the NBA trade market. According to reports, Nets is going to strengthen its team in the next season by getting two veterans after failing to sign Allen Crabbe and Tyler Johnson. Reports have it that Nets is eyeing Sacramento Kings' small forward Rudy Gay and New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard and small forward Tyreke Evans.
Rudy Gay is a talented NBA star and he has proven his worth after playing for Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors before settling with the Sacramento Kings. At the time, Kings is rebuilding their team with DeMarcus Cousins and Gay is on the trade block.
According to Miami Herald, if Sacramento Kings will ever trade Rudy Gay in the future, the best team to join is Miami Heat. Heat lost Dwayne Wade recently after putting LeBron James' pal on the trade block, which surprises many.
James couldn't believe his former team will just allow Dwayne Wade to walk away and it looks like that Miami Heat did a poor choice. Parent Herald previously reported that Heat president Riley regrets not pushing more on negotiations to retain Dwade in their roster for the next NBA season.
However, Miami Heat might lack the asset to acquire Rudy Gay. In this case, things will still be easy for the Kings' forward because there are a lot of teams in the NBA league who wants him in their team.
In a separate report from Parent Herald, Indiana Pacers is desperate to have Rudy Gay on their roster. In fact, Pacers is willing to trade Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey for him.
Pacers is currently upgrading their roster after acquiring former Hawks point guard Jeff Teague, former Nets power forward Thaddeus Young and former Hornets center and power forward Al Jefferson. Pacers is determined to get their next NBA title by trying to acquire Rudy Gay in their roster.
However, the competition will be tough because per Yibada Brooklyn Nets also wants to acquire Rudy Gay. Aside from Gay, Nets is also interested in signing New Orleans Pelicans' shooting guard and small forward Tyreke Evans.
Rudy Gay and Tyreke Evans used to play for Sacramento Kings. Will we see both teaming up for Brooklyn Nets? Where do you think should Rudy Gay sign for the next NBA season? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
