Sofia Vergara Frozen Embryo: Ex-Boyfriend Still Wants Baby Even After Having Split Up?

Sofia Vergara may have split up with Nick Loeb but the latter remains adamant in preserving their frozen embryos! Loeb allegedly plans to meet his ex-fiancee in court to reach a compromise regarding the fate of their shared embryos, according to Yahoo! Parenting.

Loeb and Vergara allegedly froze some embryos while still together as a couple as they both wanted to become parents then. Yahoo! Parenting reported that Vergara and Loeb went through IVF procedure in 2013. This medical procedure created embryos from Loeb's sperm and Vergara's eggs. The ex-couple allegedly planned to have a surrogate to carry the two female embryos. All these details were allegedly indicated in the court documents filed by Loeb.

Loeb is believed to have filed a case against the actress over the preservation of those embryos. In the legal case, Loeb used the names "John Doe" and "Jane Doe" for himself and Vergara, respectively. These names maximized the protection of confidentiality in the case.

Vergara's ex beau expressed his desire to preserve the embryos for himself as he allegedly still wants to have kids of his own someday.

"Nick has always wanted to be a father and will do whatever it takes to save these two remaining female embryos," revealed an insider based on the report from The Daily Beast. "Nick is very emotionally invested in these female embryos because he's pro-life and believes life begins at conception."

Meanwhile, Vergara is believed to want to have the embryos destroyed.

The two embryos are currently preserved at a fertility center. Vergara and Loeb's signed agreement regarding the embryos stated that the couple's death would be the only reason for its destruction. However, the terms did not state what would happen to the embryos if the then-couple separated. With the strength of this agreement, Loeb is allegedly going to file a case against the fertility center as well to prevent it from destroying the disputed embryos.

The president and CEO of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, Barbara Collura, shared her insights about the laws governing the rights of embryos.

"No state has declared an embryo a person, but personhood statues made the ballot in two states in 2014, and if they'd succeeded, embryos would have all the rights of humans," she told Yahoo! Parenting.

Meanwhile, Radar Online article reported that Vergara does not intend to let a battle for embryos with her ex hinder her from making future family plans. "The Modern Family" actress intends to hold on to her plans to pro-create with current fiance, Joe Manganiello.

A source close to Radar Online exclusively said that Vergara acquired IVF treatments months back to have kids with Manganiello.
