Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Plan To Adopt Syrian Baby Girl Before Summer Ends

The Jolie-Pitts are reportedly adding another child to their growing family. The prominent Hollywood pair is said to be adopting a baby girl from a Syrian refugee camp.

In a report published on The Express, a business associate of the couple has revealed that Angelina Jolie, 39, and her husband, Brad Pitt, 51, are keen on adopting their seventh child from Syria. The news is quite timely, as just a few weeks earlier, the actress has published a op-ed piece in the New York Times detailing the operation she went through to remove her ovaries in the wake of another cancer scare. The operation meant she can never give birth again. Two years ago, Jolie also underwent a double mastectomy after learning from her doctors that she carried a cancer gene.

A source claims that with all the operations done and over with, the married couple thinks expanding the family is a good idea. "Now she has sorted out her health issues, she and Brad believe the time is right to adopt another orphan from there, most likely a daughter," the friend said in The Express report.

Another source, reportedly a friend of the family, also revealed that the Jolie-Pitts are expecting the adoption process to be completed before the summer ends.

"Angelina's feeling good about turning 40 in June with a clean bill of health but what will make her happiness complete is seeing a new little face at the dinner table," said the source to the Daily Mail.

However, representatives from Pitt's camp told Daily Mail that there are no truths in the latest rounds of adoption stories. Back in January, the Jolie-Pitts made headlines when a social worker told Women's Day that Angelina and Brad were set to adopt a 2-year-old boy from Syria named Moussa.

Since 2012, the "Maleficent" star has been a constant visitor to Syrian refugee camps as part of her work for the United Nations (UN). Jolie was apparently "moved to tears" with the orphans' plight in the war-torn nation. The children's parents have either been killed or sent to prison as a result of the on-going conflict in the region. There are 3,700 orphans in Syria, while 70,000 reportedly have no fathers, according to News.Com.Au.

Brad and Angelina already have six children: biological kids Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6; and adopted kids 13-year-old Maddox from Cambodia, 11-year-old Pax from Vietnam, and 10-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia. In 2014, the couple had a hush-hush wedding in France with their kids prominently figuring in the ceremonies. Angelina and Brad have been together since 2005.
