'Criminal Minds' Season 12: How Can BAU Succeed Without Derek Morgan?

How can the rest of the BAU cope without Shemar Moore in "Criminal Minds" season 12? Reports have already confirmed that "Magic Mike" star Adam Rodriguez will be joining the cast next season, but is he enough to replace the fans' longing for Moore?

According to Cinema Blend, "Criminal Minds" season 12 will start off with a big time-jump. As fans already know, the BAU will be on their feet searching for the 13 dangerous criminals that escaped from prison.

"Criminal Minds" season 12 with start with eight of these criminals already caught by the BAU. As the site noted, the agents will be spending the whole season trying to get their hands on the remaining five criminals, one of which is the notorious Peter Lewis a.k.a Mr. Scratch.

"He is our baddie for the year," "Criminal Minds" showrunner Erica Messer told Cinema Blend. "We will stretch him out and tell his creepy tales."

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that the well-loved character of Shemar Moore could possibly return in future episodes. However, the former "Criminal Minds" front runner dished that it won't be soon.

"Erica Messer refused to kill Derek Morgan," he previously told TV Guide when asked about a possible "Criminal Minds" season 12 return. "Those elevator doors closed. Am I going to sign a long-term contract? Probably not. But if they ask me to come back and dance, yes, I would be willing to do that. [But] not right away."
