iPhone 7 News: Dual Cameras, New Home Button, No Headphone Jack?

There has been lots of talk about the possible features of the upcoming iteration of the iPhone, including revised hardware and much bumped-up software specs. While a lot of what is being said is purely gossip, there are a lot of viable sources out there that are coming out with reports as well. Most recently, reports have stated that the forthcoming iPhone will feature an extra camera in order to implement dual camera technology.

This report comes from Bloomberg, which is arguably one of the most trusted news sources out there today. Aside from stating that the iPhone 7 will feature dual cameras, which offer brighter and higher quality images, they also report that Apple will ditch the headphone jack in their next smartphone model. This has caused outrage among users, leading to the move being described as "user-hostile." This could potentially mean that a lot of current headsets will not be compatible with the next iPhone.

Headphones and earphones will be connected either by Bluetooth or through the lightning port. This will make way for a second speaker for extra loudness and quality, says a report from Fox News. Aside from the aforementioned changes, reports also state that the classic home button will undergo a dramatic redesign, foregoing the "physical click" for a vibration sensor. Screen sizes will remain the same as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus at 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches respectively.

It is widely believed that the announcement regarding the release of the next Apple smartphone will be made some time next month. Apple is known to make these announcements during September to get customers riled up for the holiday season. Apple must act quickly and bring something exceptional to the table as their rival Samsung has recently revealed their Note 7 model that has a revolutionary iris-scanning technology.
