Parenting, as we know it is not an easy job. But what makes it even harder is the presence of fear. Experts say that this kind of parenting would lead to a lot of problems when it comes to a child's development.
In an article published by The Huffington Post, they said that parents are more likely to pressure their kids in living their dreams when they have fear in their system. Their children would have a hard time living the life they want and aspiring the career they want to pursue when their parents are not fearless enough to handle parenting.
Most parents who project expectations that would probably won't even be met are prone to being disappointed in the end. Especially, once they notice that things are not going the way as they planned for their kids. One of the experts in this subject, Dr. Shefali Tsabary, shed light to this on-going phenomena in parenting. According to Super Soul Sunday, this New York Times best-selling writer, said that lowering expectations is a must for effective parenting. It is one way of letting go of fear. Once a parent has learned to let go of it, things are going to be easier and them being controlling could put to an end.
It is not healthy that kids have to deal with control-freak parents. But parents should know the root of such behavior for them to solve the issue. It is an underlying matter; which fear is the major reason why this problem even occurs.
