PokeStops are locations in "Pokemon GO" where players can acquire important items such as eggs, Revive, and more Poké Balls for capturing "Pokemon Go" monster. PokeStops, which are situated in special landmarks like museums and monuments, are indicated on the map with blue icons.
"Pokemon GO" players can swipe the Photo Disc by clicking on that blue icon. Afterwards, the Photo Disc will produce items in bubbles and you can then collect them. The icon's color will change to purple once you got items from a PokeStop. You can collect items again after five minutes and wait for the icon to turn blue again.
After reaching "Pokemon GO" level five, PokeStops generate up to six PokeBalls and items like Razz Berries, Revives, and Potions that can be used in battles, according to IGN. You should, however, remember that PokeStops can only be accessed via close range and will not work if you're in a moving vehicle.
In order to find and catch more "Pokemon GO" monsters, Pokedream advised players to purchase Lure Modules from the in-game Shop and install them at any PokeStop. Lure Modules attract more Pokemon in a specific area.
You will know that a PokeStop has a Lure Module when it shows a showering of pink petals. Some "Pokemon GO" players, however, have created their own farming spots at PokeStops so they can have limitless supplies of Pokemon and items.
Creating your own PokeStop farming spot isn't a walk in the park and the most important thing you should consider is its location. The best farming spot should be located near other clusters of PokeStops that are within walking distance or intersecting each other.
PokeStops have two major functions. One, they provide you with a continuous supply of Pokemon when they have lures placed on them. Going near plenty of PokeStops lowers your downtime while waiting for another "Pokemon Go" monster to show up after already catching one. Second, PokeStops refill your Poké Ball supply.
Having multiple active Lure Modules is important for creating "Pokemon GO" farming spots. Players can either buy Lure Modules or ask help from your pals and convince them to contribute.
"Pokemon GO" developer and publisher Niantic announced that they have huge plans to expand the function of PokéStops. According to Ranked Boost, Niantic will allow players to customize their local PokeStop in numerous techniques, with Pokemon Centers (which heal Pokemon for free) to be added soon. Other speculated features are Pokemon trading centers and breeding centers.
