Blake Lively Baby: Actress Reveals Reason for Naming Daughter James, Jokes About Ryan Reynolds 'Pathetic' Parenting

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds revealed the reason for naming their first born daughter James. On Tuesday, Blake announced the reason for doing so while on a guest appearance in Good Morning America, according to Perez Hilton.

The actress said that she wanted to name her daughter a boy's name because it is a family name. She also said, "I liked having a boy's name. So I thought I'd pass it along."

Meanwhile, Blake recently revealed that motherhood has opened up her eyes to aging. The actress admitted to not fearing old age after starring in "The Age of Adaline," as reported by USA Today.

In a Tuesday appearance in "The Jimmy Fallon Show," Blake had fun playing a game with host Fallon. The two got played the "Say Anything" game on air, according to The Huffington Post. While on the show, Blake joked to Fallon that hubby, Ryan Reynolds, "does nothing" while she "does everything" as a parent, according to Daily Mail.

Blake also shared the advice she will give little James when she grows up. As reported in News.com.au, the actress revealed that she intends to tell her daughter this lesson: "Don't let anyone tell you no."

She admitted that her daughter has a striking resemblance with dad, Ryan, according to People. Blake shared her insight in an appearance in "Live! With Kelly and Michael." Meanwhile, "The Age of Adaline" director, Lee Toland Krieger, said in media interviews, "I haven't met baby James, [but] I saw a picture - not surprisingly, the picture I saw was disturbing in how beautiful she was."

The actress also openly admitted that her little girl's safety has been an utmost priority - so much so that she noticed herself getting paranoid sometimes! She revealed on Kelly and Michael, "You see a balcony and you're like, 'Oh, my God! The hotel needs to demolish this balcony because my child can't go anywhere near it.' Everything is just so much more heightened. We're crying all the time for no reason."

Blake reminisced about being a little girl herself. She fondly remembered moments spent with her mom at the happiest place on earth. "She would always take me out of school and take me to Disneyland, which is really ill advised," she said. "I know! It was terrible! She was like, 'It's a landscaping lesson.'"
