Michael Schumacher's health may not be at its best right now. However, the athlete's kids do light up Schumacher's life in their own ways. If Schumacher can see his daughter and son at this moment, he could only be amazed by their talents.
Schumacher's daughter, Gina Maria, is a female athlete version of her dad in terms of horseback riding. Express UK reported that Gina will participate in a horse riding competition in Germany. The 17-year-old aspiring athlete is reportedly a contestant in Kreuth, Germany's NRHA European Futurity Horse Show.
This week saw Gina showing her excellent horse riding abilities. Should things occur as expected, Gina will compete at the event's finals over the weekend.
Meanwhile, a few weeks earlier, Schumacher's son, Mick, also started training for the Formula Four's first season competition. A booming go-kart track career has paved the way for Mick to sign a contract with Van Amersfoort. CEO Frits van Ammersfoort proudly said of the Schumacher son, "Of course we know that his father is a seven-time world champion."
Ammersfoort was quick to add that, "But I want to emphasis that Mick will take the time to learn the trade of the racing driver."
Mick was widely known to have been with dad, Michael, when the latter got into a skiing accident in 2013.
Legendary athlete Schumacher carries on his recuperation from a comatose state in Switzerland. Schumacher sustained severe head injuries in an accident that almost took his life. Mick and Gina obviously took after the talents their dad has always had prior to the accident.
Autoweek.com reported that Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, has been mum about the real deal on the athlete's state of health.
"The explanation lies in the conduct of Sabine Kehm, Schumacher's manager, who systematically sends legal letters threatening lawsuits when a newspaper spreads the slightest information about the health of the German driver," Autosprint explained, providing a possible reason for the confidentiality regarding of Schumacher's health condition.
"And the medical staff that assists Schumacher at home signed a series of very restrictive confidentiality clauses."
Schumacher's father, Philippe, is likewise mum about his son's health condition. The older Schumacher did state that he was open to media interviews out of "respect for all the people who continue to send Jules beautiful messages of affection and encouragement every day."
The former race car driving champion tops the highest paid F1 drivers list, according to International Business Times. The injured athlete has a net worth of $780 million, as cited in the same online publication.
