'Zoo' Season 3 Spoilers and Cast News: Star James Wolk Leaving Show?

Fans hoping for a "Zoo" season 3 will be pleased as CBS has confirmed that the science fiction television series will be coming back next year. Adapted from the novel "Zoo" by international bestselling author James Patterson, the third season is still expected to continue the plot of violent animals attacking humans.

According to Entertainment Weekly, CBS announced the news in the press tour of the Television Critics Association, expressing confidence in the show despite declining ratings in all demos. This is more than what can be said of other shows in CBS' programming line up like freshman summer shows including "BrainDead" and "American Gothic."

There have been rumors, however, that star James Wolk will be leaving the show in "Zoo" season 3. But CBS has not issued any statement as to how true the rumor is so most likely, Wolk will still be in "Zoo" season 3.

In other "Zoo" season 3 spoilers, the events of the previous episode can very well affect the next season's plot, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported. Logan (Josh Salatin) has been revealed to be a spy for Reiden Global and General Davies (Peter Outerbridge). When Jamie (Nora Arnezeder) realized this, she was enraged and shot him as he is trying to leave the plane they are on via a parachute, probably killing him. This development could indicate that "Zoo" season 3 will be darker than the previous seasons of the show.

"Zoo" season 3 is expected to start airing in summer 2017 on CBS. For more news and updates on "Zoo" season 3, check back as we get more details about the upcoming season.
