The first and most talked about game, is the open world explorer "No Man's Sky" which allows players to travel and explore the entire galaxy. With over 18 quintillion planets to discover, players can definitely get lost as they immerse themselves in alien territories. With the trusty starship, "No Man's Sky" allows players to sail through the universe and uncover treasures, battle extra-terrestrials, and reach the centre of the galaxy itself. The next game which has players glued to their consoles is "Batman: The Telltale Series", released in August 2 for Mac, Android and the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The new Batman game allows players to venture deep into Bruce Wayne's psyche, making choices that will determine the fate of Gotham City. From the creators of "The Walking Dead", "Batman: The Telltale Series" sets players on missions to uncover the truth that shattered Bruce Wayne's world. GameSpot gives this Batman game an 8/10.
Also released this August is the 3D platform game from Plastic, called "Bound". In a wiki from Santa Monica Studios, Bounds puts players inside the mind of a woman who revisits her childhood. "Bound" mixes platform challenges with art and ballet, making a beautiful, chaotic masterpiece. Players must go through different platform puzzles while incorporating ballet moves, as the story goes deeper, coupled with powerful metaphor and imagery.
One of August's sleeper hits that has made on the list is "Abzu". Developed by Giant Squid Studios, the calm and serene swimming simulator puts players in the heart of the sea, interacting with aquatic animals, and diving deeper into the depths of the ocean. "Abzu" allows players to explore different underwater settings, such as caves, coral reefs, and even sunken ruins. "Abzu" holds an 8.4/10 score on IGN
The last game that players have to pick up is the Action-Stealth RPG "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided". The latest in the "Deus Ex" series, players are put in a mission to take down the Illuminati using various combat techniques, such as stealth, hacking, and environment interactions. "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" is set to make it's much-awaited release on August 23.
