There is a major shake up behind the scenes in the production of "Descendants 2" as it turns out that not all cast members from the first movie will be returning. This was months after Disney Channel assured fans that every cast members will come back for the sequel of the film focused on the offspring of villains in the Disney canon.
Sarah Jeffrey, who portrayed Audrey in the first movie, has indirectly confirmed that she has not been asked back for "Descendants 2," Twist Magazine reported. She wished the "Descendants 2" cast well as they head into filming the upcoming TV movie. "Just want to also say I wish the cast of Descendants 2 the best and I know they'll do a stellar job," Jeffrey said.
Rumor has it that Jeffrey was fired from "Descendant 2" because director and "High School Musical" creator Kenny Ortega wanted to expand the universe and focus on other aspects of the plot. In fact, he has added a new character in the movie named Uma, who is Ursula's daughter.
In other "Descendants 2" news, according to Hollywood Life, China Anne McClain has already signed on to play Uma. She will be the latest addition to the "Descendants 2" cast that includes Booboo Stewart, Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Mitchell Hope and Sofia Carson.
