Kerri Walsh Jennings Reveals Gender of her Third Child

Beach volleyball Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings is expecting a baby girl. Walsh Jennings, who announced her third pregnancy after winning a gold medal at the London Olympics, learnt the gender of her unborn child live on the "Today" show, Dec.24, Monday.

"We're going to share something so special today and I've been dying for two months to find out," People magazine quoted the expecting mom, as saying. "Oh my God - we're having a girl!"

The 34-year-old beach volleyball star and husband Casey Jennings are already parents to 3-year-old Joseph and 2-year-old Sundance.

Walsh Jennings' doctor wrote gender of the third baby on a Christmas ornament, which the couple unveiled. This is a kind of tradition for the couple as for the previous two pregnancies also they did the same.

"We're really excited to find out," Daily Mail quoted Jennings as saying on Today, before revealing the gender. "It feels a little cheesy if I over think it, but I'm just not going to over think it. I feel like people are along for the ride with us. We've gotten so many words of encouragement... I welcome all the love and prayers I can get!"

During the chat, the mom-to-be also revealed that she was almost sure about getting a girl third time as her pregnancy symptoms varied from the two previous pregnancies. Jennings, who has cravings for lemonade, fried egg, sandwiches, crispy bacon and cotton candy, also reported maintaining a healthy pregnancy through regular weight-lifting and Pilates.

The overjoyed mom later shared her excitement with her 133,292 Twitter followers.

"It wasn't a dream! Still in shock. Still smiling big and bright. Sweet dreams," she wrote after posting the Christmas ornament, with "Girl" written on it.
