MMA News: Jon ‘Bones’ Jones Announces UFC Comeback will Happen ‘Really Soon’

Arguably the greatest talent mixed martial arts has seen, Jon "Bones" Jones, recently took to his Instagram page to announce his comeback in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, making the statement that he has some good news for his fans and that they can expect to see him fight again in the near future.

Jon Jones made headlines for all the wrong reasons when he was pulled out of the biggest UFC pay-per-view of the year, following a failed drug test prior to the historical UFC 200. "Bones" who was set to fight in the main event against his rival Daniel "DC" Cormier in a light-heavyweight title unification bout. Jones was removed from the card with only days remaining from the UFC event, and was subsequently replaced by Anderson Silva to fight against Cormier.

After hitting another roadblock in his otherwise stellar career, the 29-year-old interim light-heavyweight champion Jones, posted a video on his Instagram, making the announcement that he had some "good news" and that he would be back in the Octagon "really soon."

Jones also says that he was back in training, and preparing for his UFC comeback, adding that he was working out all of his legal issues, hoping that he could leave all of it behind, and start rebuilding his mixed martial arts career, according to MMA Fighting.

Jon Jones was previously the poster boy of the UFC, until the alleged hit and run case he was charged with in 2015, derailing his career. Jones eventually returned to the Octagon and was seemingly on his way to rebuilding his career after becoming the interim light-heavyweight champion after defeating Ovince St. Preux in UFC 197. The world waited to see Jones climb to the top of the UFC light-heavyweight ladder once again, until the failed drug test incident.

There is still no confirmation of Jon Jones' return to the UFC, nor will he serve the 2-year suspension for multiple failed drug tests per USADA rules.
