Jessica Simpson Announces Second Pregnancy on Twitter

Jessica Simpson is pregnant for the second time. The singer/actress confirmed the news of her second child via Twitter on Christmas Day.

Simpson indirectly mentioned her second pregnancy by posting an adorable photo of her eight-month-old daughter Maxwell sitting on a beach, with the words "Big Sis" written in sand.

"Merry Christmas from my family to yours!," she wrote after breaking the news to her five million followers on Twitter.

Well-wishers and fans of the 32-year-old celebrity star came forward to congratulate the expecting mother .

"OMG! Big Sis!!! That means....OMG!!!! Congrats!!!!," one of the followers wrote, while another wrote," She sure knows how 2 tell ppl shes #pregnant especially when the world already knows #JessicaSimpson RT."

Simpson and her fiancé, football player Eric Johnson, welcomed their daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Maxwell weighed 9 pounds and 13 ounces at birth.

Speculations about Simpson's second pregnancy first hit the Internet in November. A source close to the couple confirmed the pregnancy news to Us Weekly.

"It definitely wasn't planned. But yes, Jessica is pregnant again," a source told Us Weekly, confirming the pregnancy news.

Speculations reached its peak after Simpson was spotted wearing figure-hiding dresses, recently.

However, the expecting mom kept mum on the topic. Last week, Celebuzz reported Simpson confirming her second pregnancy at her father Joe Simpson's holiday party.

"As Jessica and her husband were about to leave the party somebody asked her, 'How's the baby?' and she boasted, 'Which one?! I'm pregnant again!'" One party-goer told Celebuzz. "She was so happy, smiling and giggling."

Simpson, who gained 70 pounds during pregnancy, struggled to get her pre-pregnancy body back. However, arrival of baby Maxwell gave her a new perspective about life, making her refer to motherhood as a "dream" and an "amazing" experience.
