In his '90s hit TV series, "Friends," where the actor played the geeky Ross Gellar, David Schwimmer had a complicated relationship with his "lobster" and life-partner Rachel and their daughter Emma. In real life, however, the TV star has the perfect family and he proudly walked the red carpet with them in a rare moment in the actor's public life.
Schwimmer has always been private about his life off-camera, so it was a thrill to see the 48-year-old father with his wife, Zoe Buckman, 29, and their daughter, Cleo, 4, all together in a Hollywood event. The family attended the John Varvatos 12th Annual Stuart House Benefit last Sunday, and they were even wearing coordinated outfits in shades of blue.
Pop Sugar posted a series of photos of the family at the event and Schwimmer was all smiles next to his girls. One photo captured Cleo resting her head on her dad's chest as he carried her around. Another showed the couple doting on their daughter, who is clearly the center of their universe.
David and Zoe were married in a hush-hush ceremony in 2010. The couple met three years before in London, where the actor was directing his very first feature film, "Run Fatboy Run." Zoe, a part-time photographer, was working as a waitress in a restaurant where David was dining, according to People Magazine, and they immediately hit it off.
In 2011, Zoe gave birth to their daughter and the actor made the announcement on his Twitter by posting the baby's photo, according to E! Online. It was without any flare or fanfare, which is what David always wanted.
These days, the actor is busy preparing his return on television via the drama series "American Crime Story." He is playing the role of Robert Kardashian, the lawyer in the O.J. Simpson case. It is set to air in the fall.
Recently, rumors about a "Friends" reunion or reboot have once again started circulating the Internet. However, the stars of the famous comedy series constantly reiterated that it will never happen. One of David's co-stars actually spoke in jest about the reunion. Courteney Cox implied that it was Schwimmer who is the "flakiest" about the possibility of the gang getting back together.
"We've not really had a Friends reunion. We've gotten about 80 per cent there, but there's always one person who flakes at the end. I'm not going to name names, but it may not be [David] Schwimmer," remarked Cox via Yahoo.
