Angela Simmons On Her Personality And Pregnancy: “I Just Eat The Judgment Of People”

The 28-year old daughter of the rapper-turned-minister, Rev. Run, is said to be getting deeper in faith as she continuously posts Biblical comments and shout outs that have a Christian significance on her instagram account. One of the most recent post is her screenshot of the Hillsong Worship song, "Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)", which shows her musical inspiration nowadays.

The star of WE TV show "Growing Up Hip Hop", Angela Simmons, has been very transparent of her pregnancy as she keeps posting her pregnancy journey in social media as well. The honesty is impeccable as she never doubted of talking to the public her engagement and the baby with non-celebrity partner Sutton Tennyson.

Simmons has been through a lot of bashing and negative talks from the social media and she said she used to get tired of getting judged. Her revealing outfits are one of the basic points of attack, now it the focal point has become her pregnancy out of marriage.

It is not easy for Simmons to keep a stiff upper lip on the issues thrown at her but she always holds on to the strength in having Jesus in her life. According to her, it is only God who can judge her. She just tries to ignore other people's judgment as these are inevitable and will just cause her to burn out if she allows it to affect her.

In her interview with Christian Post, she pointed out the weakness of religion. "There's so much controversy surrounding religion, so I just eat it... it is what it is, but I know who I am ... and God knows my heart, so I don't take it any further." , Simmons said.

Religion is a constant controversy. This is why most adhere to the idea that God emphasizes on a relationship with instead of calling it a religion. Simmons implies that she does not want religion but she pursues relationship with God. Two important things in the Christian faith that are absolutely right: The importance of a relationship with God, and relationship with people should matter next to that. Simmons makes her point clear. Only God has the right to judge her.
