People can be emotional eaters. In times of depression, some do stress eating. They crave food and do not think twice to eat them. However, in times of divorce, separated individuals tend to lose appetite and find it hard to eat any food. Divorce, in so many cases become an event at high emotional cost that leads to shedding of pounds and leaving individuals underweight. Such kind of weight loss is not normal anymore and is neither healthy. It can lead to development of chronic illness.

Stress and weight loss due to divorce can be a root of further worse diseases. A divorcee ones told the New York Times that divorce may not just lead to emotional stress but more likely a kind of physiological stress.

Divorce is too painful but staying in a miserable marriage can be even more stressful. Both are energy-draining and silent-killers, which no one ever wants to keep. It is always best to undergo counseling whenever a couple finalizes a split. This way, any stress can be reversed and the happiness lost and energy spent can be restored.

It is hard to move while being pinned down by a hopeless situation but life must go on. If you have just faced divorce, face restoration one step at a time. Sure it does not happen overnight.
