Netflix offering, "Bloodline Season 3," promises to be darker for the new truths it will reveal about John Rayburn (Kyle Chandler) and his family. Could part of this truth be about Nolan Rayburn (Owen Teague) whose identity and connection to Danny (Ben Mendelsohn) will continue to be key in "Bloodline Season 3."
"Bloodline Season 2" closed with Kevin Rayburn (Norbert Leo Butz) complicating the situation in which the Rayburns are by murdering Detective Marco Diaz (Enrique Murciano). John Rayburn was also seen fleeing Florida Keys in his car with "ghost" Danny as his passenger at the "Bloodline Season 2" finale as reported by The Hollywood Reporter
Netflix is, however, far from done telling tales about the Rayburns and rolls back in with "Bloodline Season 3," which can only mean that John Rayburn will once again find himself back to where he started. Just as well as John Rayburn coming to terms with the depth of his deed by projecting his psyche onto a dead Danny may augur a breakdown for the "Bloodline" series lead.
John Rayburn keeping company with "ghost" Danny is an effective exposition by "Bloodline" on the real nature of the relationship between the brothers. This allows the "Bloodline" series to define a stronger perspective on the devastating impact of the murder of Danny for John Rayburn.
"Probably the sibling John is most intimate with is Danny and their connection in life - John was always his defender - it was a dynamic that was established very, very early in their lives between those two brothers," co-creator Glenn Kessler reveals of the "Bloodline" leads. Is the decision to flee at "Bloodline Season 2" finale an indication of something darker happening inside John Rayburn?
As problematic as the "Bloodline Season 3" premiere will be for John Rayburn and his family, Danny's son Nolan isn't done with the Netflix series. Instead Netflix brings Nolan Rayburn back as a key character in "Bloodline Season 3."
Although the likeness between actor Owen Teague and Ben Mendelsohn made for a convincingly dysfunctional father and son relationship between Danny and Nolan Rayburn, the biological connection between these Rayburns still carry a cloud of doubt as Bustle highlighted. As it is, Danny was hardly a father to Nolan Rayburn.
One wonders if "Bloodline Season 3" will unmask the real father of Nolan Rayburn. Or - if indeed Danny is the biological father - would "Bloodline Season 3" bring Nolan Rayburn the father he never had, John perhaps?
Netflix released "Bloodline Season 2" on May 27, with an eye for 2017 as an S3 release. What secrets do you believe will "Bloodline Season 3" reveal?
