Jason Terry is said to be on the verge of signing with the Milwaukee Bucks. He has been the target of the Bucks for the past few months to add some depth off the bench.
Marc Stein of ESPN reported that the deal between Jason Terry and the Milwaukee Bucks is now getting closer. As a former Sixth Man of the Year, Terry can provide a lot of help stretching the opposing team's defense with his shooting skills. Aside from being a reliable playmaker, being an NBA veteran and one of the elite scorers, Terry would be a great mentor and add some leadership for the Bucks.
With a career average of 37% outside the arc, Terry is a real threat that defenders should lock him out. The Bucks are now in a rebuilding process and they could use Jason Terry to help the young talents of the Bucks.
Jason Terry is one of the winning pieces of the Dallas Mavericks as they won the 2011 NBA Champions against the Miami Heat. Terry averaged 17.5 points per game during their 2011 NBA Playoffs run and is the 2nd for the Mavericks' scoring option, considering he is coming off the bench.
Aside from Jason Terry, Steve Novak is reportedly signing with the Bucks as per Journal Sentinel's press release. Though Novak was signed by the Bucks last February of this year, Novak played in 3 games with the Bucks before he got a knee injury and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
With Steve Novak back into the action and the addition of Jason Terry, the Milwaukee Bucks can now climb up to the ladder of 3-points team stats since they were at the bottom last season. Both players would make a significant damage against the opposing teams since Novak is known to be a decent 3-point shooter while Terry is currently ranked 3rd for all-time 3-pointers made behind Ray Allen and Reggie Miller.
