John Krasinski, Emily Blunt Marriage: 'Jack Ryan' Star Opens Up On Being A Dad, Praises His 'Mary Poppins' Wife

TV, movie star and director John Krasinski is having it really great these days. Apart from the launch of his first directorial movie, "The Hollars," and snagging the lead part in the high profile action TV series "Jack Ryan" for Amazon Prime, John Krasinski is also growing his young family with wife and fellow actress Emily Blunt.

John Krasinski is dad to 2-year-old Hazel and newborn Violet. He recently told Entertainment Tonight that since having his own children, he has experienced all the parenting clichés and have come to understand his relationships with other family members better. The actor describes having children as "this new existential magnet that you feel draw to your family," and he gushes at how his daughters get along so adorably.

But despite all of the success the 36-year-old actor has accomplished in Hollywood so far, he credits getting married to his wife as his "greatest achievement," per Time Magazine. The actor related how he heard his wife sing for the first time and the moment actually made him cry. It was when she was filming "Into the Woods," where Emily Blunt was nominated for Best Actress at the Golden Globes. The actress has recently been cast as Mary Poppins in the upcoming Disney sequel.

John Krasinki and Emily Blunt started dating in 2008, at the height of the popularity of the comedy TV series "The Office," where he was part of the cast. He told Us Weekly that the show helped him meet his wife because he was on the brink of quitting acting before "The Office" break finally came. "Truly, when I say the show has given me everything, it's given me everything," the actor said.

A year later, John Krasinki and Emily Blunt were engaged and then they got married in 2010. But it wasn't until 2014 when they had their first child, Hazel. John believes that Hazel gave him a new perspective as an artist as well and this transcended to his work on "The Hollar." "I had my daughter just before we shot the movie and I think had I shot the movie and directed the movie six months earlier, it would've been a totally different experience," he told E! Online.
