There is no doubt that "Winds of Winter" is the most anticipated book to date. Fans of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series have been waiting for the said book for five years and counting. However, good news, "TWOW" rumors suggest that George RR Martin might announce the release date of "The Winds of Winter" soon.
George RR Martin released the fifth book of the "ASOIAF" series titled "A Dance With Dragon" in July 2011. Fast forward, after five years, the sixth book, "Winds of Winter" is still not in the bookshelves. However, fans should not lose their hopes as the book might see the light of the day soon.
Per iTech Post, George RR Martin will possibly announce the release date of "Winds of Winter" soon. The report points that the announcement will be held at the Worldcon.
Initially, there were rumors that George RR Martin will release "Winds of Winter" in the said event but the author debunked it. Well, we hope that the rumors about the announcement of the release date of "Winds of Winter" are true. This is the least we can expect from GRRM.
Meanwhile, the "ASOIAF" fans are hopeful to hear another new chapter from "Winds of Winter." Parent Herald previously reported that George RR Martin may share the Cersei chapter in the said event but fans were disappointed because the "Winds of Winter" author did not make a mention about the upcoming aside from admitting that he is a slow writer.
Per Winter is Coming, George RR Martin talks about "Wild Cards" and his writing style at the Worldcon but did not mention of the anticipated book "Winds of Winter." Many were disappointed because the "ASOIAF" fans have been expecting another fresh update from the author. However, it is difficult to blame George RR Martin especially that he did not promise anything.
