Kate Gosselin Vs. Jon Gosselin: Teen Twin Girls Reveal Estrangement From Father, Son Living In Special Needs Facility

It's been nearly 10 years since Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin first figured in the headlines with their young kids via the reality TV show "Jon & Kate Plus 8." The family is back in the news again as their teen daughters recently spoke against their dad. Kate Gosselin also revealed that son Collin is in a special needs facility.

Kate and Jon Gosselin's 15-year-old daughters, Cary and Mady, opened up to People and revealed that they hardly see their father after their parents divorced. They wanted to set the record straight after their dad has been making the media rounds talking about his ex-family.

"He makes it seem like we're being kept from him, which is insane," said Mady in reply to Jon Gosselin's allegations that Kate Gosselin has been barring the children from seeing their dad. The teenage girls also said they made it their own choice not to be with Jon Gosselin.

They do not want to have anything to do with their father at this point, if it means having a "toxic relationship" Jon Gosselin. The kids resent the fact that their father have not made any efforts to get to know his children.

In response, Jon Gosselin said that he's shocked and upset by the girls' statements, per Entertainment Tonight. It appears that the children and their dad haven't seen each other in almost three years.

Meanwhile, Kate Gosselin told E! Online that her 12-year-old son Collin is living in a special needs facility away from home. Kate laments that it's hard for the family to have Collin far away, but it is what the boy needs. "To know he's somewhere that's helping him reach his very best potential has been a relief in many ways," said Kate.

The Gosselins have been married for 10 years before their separation and eventual divorce in 2009. Kate was granted sole custody of their children -- Mady, Cara, Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Collin, Joel and Aaden.
