Will and Jada Smith's daughter, Willow, is following her parents' footsteps. The 14-year-old released a music video for her song that goes only with the title, "F Q-C # 7," according to E! Online. In the video, Willow is seen doing the usual things other teens do. These activities include field prancing, sitting near a river, and exhibiting different looks while dancing. The video for "F Q-C # 7" premiered online at "The Fader."
"The different Me's represent my Chakras. Yellow is self-confidence, Blue is my voice (song), Red is my survival instinct, and Black is a combination of everything (the true me)," Willow explained, referring to the meaning behind the song's video at the site."
The teenager revealed that making the said video has turned her life around for the better in major ways. She said, "Writing the 'F Q-C #7' video and bringing it into reality was one of the most exhilarating experiences in my life. For my republic I stand."
Willow sings in the uplifting lyrics from "F Q-C # 7": "I'm just climbing trees and skipping class now. Don't place your blame on me...I've been climbing trees and jumping in creeks for you right now."
As reported in MTV, Willow shared that Girlpool, tUnE-yArDs, and Cree Summer inspired her in making "F Q-C # 7". The song is drastically different from Willow's 2010 song, "Whip My Hair."
In a Huffington Post article, Willow shared details that inspired the creation of "F Q-C # 7". She said, "My mom had a Metal band called Wicked Wisdom when I was young and my dad was always in the studio, so Metal and R&B were the first musical styles I was really immersed in. I feel like 'F Q-C #7' really expresses that."
Willow added that she wished her song to motivate girls everywhere to embrace life to the fullest. According to the young musician, every girl is special just the way she is.
"I want this video to show young girls -- who want to do music and just girls in general -- not to feel pressured to have to show their bodies or act a certain way. Here on Earth is a tough journey but undeniably beautiful. This song beckons to the kid who's stuck in the system and wants to be free.," Willow shared.
Willow is the younger sister of actor, Jaden Smith. She has a half-brother named Trey Smith III from her dad's previous marriage.
