After quarreling with his wife, Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck, was allegedly seen out and about not wearing his wedding ring. The National Enquirer, via Radar Online, revealed exclusively that Affleck sought solace in a Buddhist monastery in Canada recently. While Affleck was in Canada, his wife reportedly spent her birthday with son, Samuel, on April 17 in Los Angeles.
"Ben is in the grips of a mid-life crisis," an insider told The National Enquirer. "He's trying to figure out what he wants out of life, and find a path back to being a good husband."
The source added, "He's on a 'self discovery' mission, and talking through his marital issues. He's at a crossroads."
The "Batman vs. Superman" actor reportedly sought solace at The Gampo Abbey. Monks and nuns offer sanctuary to those in need. Apparently, Garner flew to Canada to let her husband know that she's already had it with him.
"Jen was worried enough that she dropped everything and flew to Canada to give Ben an ultimatum," the insider said. "Jen said she'd give him one more chance to clean up his act."
"The bottom line is that Jen can't trust Ben. It's a vicious cycle - he'll screw up, then he'll get it together, but then it's only a matter of time before he's back to bad behavior. The next few months are going to be a real test, and Ben's going to have to be on his absolute best behavior to prove to Jen he's a completely changed man," the source disclosed.
Jen and Ben were allegedly last seen spending time together on the actress' birthday. Word has it that a $150 million divorce is what's keeping Affleck and Garner in the marriage.
On a lighter note, Garner told People magazine jokingly that her family life is surrounded with 'attitude.' The "Alias" actress said, "With the eye-rolling and the drama and the attitude. I just tell them, 'I didn't try to order kids with sass. How did I get all these sassy kids?'
Garner and Affleck are parents to Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. They were married in 2005.
However, Gossip Cop refuted the rumor of an impending separation between the couple. Meanwhile, insiders revealed that Affleck's mid-life crisis has extended to excessive drinking and compulsive gambling. According to these sources, the actor drunk and gambled while shooting "Batman vs. Superman," as reported in The Hollywood Gossip.
