Popular CBS drama "NCIS" may have lost one agent with the departure of Tony DiNozzo, but the show will welcome three replacements. Hopefully, they can find a space to place their desks.
Michael Weatherly has left "NCIS" after 13 years to star in his new show "Bull." To fill in the empty desk he left, Gibbs has been screening candidates and at least two are set to join his team. That poses the question on where the new agents will fit in, TV Line reported. Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer) jokingly said, "Well, we're stacking desks now..."
Showrunner Gary Glasberg told TV Line that they have rearranged a bit and teased about something fun to happen. "I think the fans are going to go a little crazy," he added.
One of the newest additions is Jennifer Esposito, who will play as NCIS Special Agent Alex Quinn, an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Glasberg said of the character, "so she basically shows up and says to Gibbs, 'What the hell is wrong with you?!'"
The timing of Quinn's arrival comes at a time that Gibbs' team is working on a case, which will drive out long-undercover NCIS Special Agent Nick Torres, to be played by another newcomer Wilmer Valderrama. And that's not about it, another cast member is officially joining in the fifth episode, Duane Henry, who will play MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves.
Meanwhile, romance looks underway in "NCIS" Season 14. TV Guide has learned that Tim McGee (Sean Murray) will ask Delilah (Margo Harshman) the big question and the wedding might actually take place during the upcoming season. Maybe Tony DiNozzo could grace their special day?
"NCIS" Season 14 returns on Sept. 20 on CBS. Here's the first look of Alex Quinn and Nick Torres, as revealed by Entertainment Weekly.
