After CBS canceled the show last month, fans have lost hope that there will be a "Limitless" season 2. However, the show's die-hards are now hopeful that the show will be given a new lease as it has been rumored that Bradley Cooper will do his best for a "Limitless" season 2 to happen.
According to FX Newscall, Cooper, who serves as a recurring cast member and executive producer on "Limitless" season 2, is doing his best to shop the show to other networks. The series, which stars Jake McDorman as Brian, is said to be in consideration to be revived for "Limitless" season 2 by Showtime. While negotiations for "Limitless" season 2 are ongoing, Cooper is building up his reputation as a filmmaker as he has already signed on to direct and star in the revival of "A Star Is Born" with "Born This Way" singer Lady Gaga.
The cancellation of "Limitless" season 2 was earlier blamed on low viewership but when you think about it, the show actually had decent ratings. According to the TV By The Numbers blog on Zap2It, the season finale for the first season of "Limitless" drew in a 5.4 million live audience with a 46 percent 7-day viewership increase to a total of 7.99 million. That is on par with other shows on their first seasons like "The Catch" and "Supergirl."
The "Limitless" season 2 release date has not been announced yet but if there indeed will be a "Limitless" season 2, it will most likely have a different cast. Parent Herald will post more news and spoilers about "Limitless" season 2 as negotiations are still going through. Will you be excited to watch "Limitless" season 2?
