‘The Catch’ Season 2 Spoilers, Air Date & Cast News: Show Cancelled? Star Mireille Enos Doesn’t Think So

"The Catch" season 2 may have been one of the most surprising renewals in recent television history but that does not make the upcoming season any less exciting. The show, which stars Mireille Enos as Los Angeles' top private investigator Alice Vaughan, was rumored to be canceled a few weeks after it premiered as it has not been the big hit other Shondaland shows like "How To Get Away With Murder" and "Scandal" have been.

Part of why ABC ordered "The Catch" season 2 was because of the pregnancy of "Scandal" star Kerry Washington, Cinema Blend reported. "The Catch" season 2 would be very much needed to accompany "Scandal" when it gets back on the air so that ABC will be able to retain the audience goodwill from its popular TGIT block.

Enos, who is famous for "World War Z" and "The Killing," has total faith in "The Catch" season 2. According to Digital Spy, Enos liked playing Alice so much because unlike her previous roles, she finally had the opportunity to play someone who is "stylish" and "elegant." She also had effusive praise for Shonda Rhimes' work ethic and creative work.

"The Catch" season 2 will start airing in the winter portion of the 2016-2017 television season, during the winter break of "Scandal." Watch out for more news and spoilers on "The Catch" season 2 in the coming months as the show prepares to shoot the upcoming season. It has not been announced yet how many episodes "The Catch" season 2 will have. Are you excited to finally watch "The Catch" season 2 back on TV?
