The success of the first season led to the demand to air "Blindspot" Season 2. However, claims have surged regarding issues of storyline and casting in trouble.
"Blindspot" season 2 will expose further news regarding Zapata (Audrey Esparza) and Reade's (Rob Brown) bond even from the past that they worked with Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) at the FBI.
In a dialogue with Entertainment Weekly, executive show runner of "Blindspot" Season 2 Martin Gero exposed that there will a heavy-drama plot between Zapata and Reade. Unluckily, Martin Gero is not allowed to reveal any further explanations from the most-awaited scene.
"We have a great story for Rob and Audrey this year that I can't get into too much, but it's very emotional," Martin Gero, executive producer of "Blindspot" Season 2. "It's a mystery within a mystery show and there's a lot of stuff going on between them."
On the last season of "Blindspot," Zapata and Reade was about to split after Reade hid something from Zapata. Reade was very protective of Zapata and the other members of Weller's team so he takes it upon himself to ask them things every now and then.
During the former season, Zapata got included with the anti heroes role Thomas Carter swore to ensure Zapata's loans if she will gain information about Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander). Zapata accepted on helping Thomas, and she agreed to make it as hidden from her team, spawning apprehensions in what will occur in "Blindspot" Season 2.
In "Blindspot" season 2, it is inferred that Weller, Jane and the few of the FBI members will seek for the genuine informations regarding Zapata's hidden agendas. It is indeed alarming to know that Gero said to Zapata that he will be excited to be with Jane on the next instalments albeit their problems.
Zapata, Patterson and Reade are still blind that it was Jane who murdered Bethany Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste). This is one of the big secret that will be revealed in the next instalments of "Blindspot".
Meanwhile, "Blindspot" lead star Alexander detailed season 2 as an "emotional roller coaster." In an interview with E! News, she said, "It's going to send you on a massive rollercoaster. We have a lot of new faces who are going to help clarify who Jane Doe really is."
"Blindspot" season 2 will air on NBC on Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. ET.
