The lead character on "Jane the Virgin" is hinted to be finally having her very first sexual experience in the upcoming third season. Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane, and "Jane the Virgin" executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, have extensively talked about how this is bound to happen in previous interviews.
But as fans await how this big moment will unfold on "Jane the Virgin," Gina Rodriguez opened up about her own first sexual experience. Speaking in a podcast interview with Sooo Many White Guys, Gina Rodriguez revealed that she had her first time with her boyfriend of one year, at 17.
"He was leaving to Chile to go study abroad and we wanted to lose it to each other," said the "Jane the Virgin" star, adding that it had been a magical moment. "I lost my virginity to the sweetest guy ever," Gina Rodriguez said.
Fans expect that just like the actress, Jane's first time on "Jane the Virgin" would also be magical. Producer Urman promised viewers that they won't be a long build up to this, given that it had been two seasons of Jane abstaining from the two men she's been involved with on the show. "I have a lot of different ideas on what that will be, and how big to make it, and how many complications," reveals Urman to Entertainment Tonight.
But before "Jane the Virgin" gets into this, it will have to deal with the matter with Jane's husband, Michael (Brett Dier), who has been shot in last season's finale. Parent Herald previously reported that the character is going to survive his gunshot wounds. But the characters will still have to deal with the aftermath and the trauma of the incident.
Meanwhile, Eva Longoria is said to be excited with her "Jane the Virgin" guest appearance. She is also set to direct the third episode of the season, as revealed by Hello. "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 17.
