In the world of "Pokemon GO" players, just getting normal Pokemon won't be enough. Players are still searching for Legendary Pokemon and even those who are not Legendary like Ditto.
Ditto is just a transforming Pokemon but until now, players are still having a hard time finding him. In "Pokemon GO," the legendary Pokemon such as Mewtwo, Mew, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres are also on the loose and they are actually more powerful than Ditto. So what makes Ditto a special Pokemon although he is not one of the Legendary Pokemons?
Ditto is confirmed to belong in "Pokemon GO" as its Pokedex entry is number 132. Ditto is just a normal type Pokemon and has not Evolution so what you catch is what you get.
However, Ditto's uniqueness in "Pokemon GO" lies within its ability to rearrange its cell structure to any other shapes it wants. The only disadvantage of Ditto is that it does not fully get the appearance of the Pokemon it is copying. When it relies more on its memory, Ditto most of the time manages to get the details wrong, according to Pokemon Go Database.
Fans of "Pokemon GO" are confused on where exactly is Ditto with a couple of theories circulating online to the possible places on where the Pokemon is. According to Niantic, there are still a lot of easter eggs that have not been discovered and there is a possibility that Ditto is there.
Another possible theory is that Ditto might not even be available in the U.S. since its original owner from the TV series is from Spain. However, this will not be practical for Niantic as a large number of "Pokemon GO" players are from the U.S.
Fans might still need to wait for further news from Niantic on whether Ditto has been really released or if there is a special mechanic in "Pokemon GO" that players have not discovered yet. But it is clear that whoever gets Ditto first will get the bragging rights of a lifetime.
