Hilary Duff's big sister is now a proud mom. According to E! Online, the host of "The Real Girl's Kitchen" and her fiancé, Matt Rosenberg, had their first child this week. Haylie's rep officially shared a statement to E! to announce the happy news.
The statement read, "Haylie Duff and fiancé Matt Rosenberg welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Monday, May 11 in Los Angeles, CA. Both mom and baby are doing great! Haylie and Matt are thrilled to finally meet their baby girl and become a family of three."
Haylie and Matt have chosen to be extraordinarily creative in naming their little girl as the baby's name may not sound feminine to many.
So what is the name the couple picked for their little bundle of joy?
They decided to name her Ryan. According to US Magazine, baby Ryan was born a little overdue. The food blogger allegedly checked into the hospital over Mother's Day weekend to be induced and only gave birth sometime this week.
Meanwhile, Haylie and Matt told People magazine how ecstatic they are of the new addition in their lives. The couple shared, "We are on cloud nine and so happy she is finally here! Thank you to everyone for all of their love, support & well wishes!"
On March, Haylie hosted a floral-themed baby shower. Hilary and other family members and friends reportedly attended the said event. Surprisingly, fans may find that the cooking show host had unusual pregnancy food cravings during her first two trimesters.
Haylie revealed, "I drink a lot of green smoothies. I think I've craved health food, which is weird, and then the occasional mac and cheese."
The new mom also disclosed that her fiancé got nervous when she tried to get some exercise. She said, "He's like, 'Don't push yourself too hard.' I'm like, 'I got it! I'm fine.' I'm just trying to move. Go on walks. I'm not trying to put too much pressure on myself either way."
Haylie's secret in keeping a fit body while expecting? "I did Soulcycle through my whole pregnancy and I go on walks with friends," she admitted. "You know, I've worked through most of it shooting season two of The Real Girl's Kitchen. So I've been active in general. I've tried to not go too maternity, but at a certain point you've got to have room, you know?"
She is also not bothered that she and Matt temporarily suspended their impending wedding plans. The host and her fiancé are currently focused on being parents to their daughter. Haylie is just amazed that she is already a mom when she ties the knot.
"It's pretty cool to think our daughter is going to be at our wedding. We still talk about things we want to do [for the wedding], but it's a big change with the baby coming. We're just trying to focus on one thing first and then we'll do it," she shared.
