Actor Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves welcomed their third child, a baby boy, on Dec.28.
The 43-year-old actor, who is famous for his personal motto "Just Keep Livin" took to his Twitter account to announce the happy news.
"Camila (@iamcamilaalves) gave birth to our third child yesterday morning," he tweeted. "Our son, Livingston Alves McConaughey was born at 7:43am on 12.28.12.
"He greeted the world at 9lbs. and 21 inches. Bless up and thank you for your well wishes. Happy New year, and just keep livin, Camila and Matthew McConaughey."
The new arrival joins four-year-old brother, Levi Alves McConaughey and three-year-old sister Vida Alves McConaughey.
McConaughey married the Brazilian model and television performer in June 2012, six years after their first meeting in a Los Angeles bar.
The actor announced the news of a third child on Independence Day, weeks after their marriage.
"Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep liven," he wrote.
Alves shared her children's excitement over the third addition to the family.
"I think they fully understand that it's a little baby coming," she told Us Weekly in September. "They love it.
McConaughey shot to fame with his role in the movie "Dazed and Confused" in 1993. He is best known for his roles in the movies "Failure to Launch", "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."
