'Madam Secretary' Season 3 News & Updates: Téa Leoni's Elizabeth McCord Turns Dark; Morgan Freeman's Character Stops Charade?

The upcoming return of "Madam Secretary" Season 3 is just around the corner. However, claims have surfaced that Téa Leoni's character, Elizabeth McCord is ready to call it a day. Presumptions have even risen that Morgan Freeman's role would step in to prevent the charade and propel Elizabeth back into the White House.

Although the main storyline for "Madam Secretary" Season 3 remains unknown, there are still presumptions that Elizabeth is not willing to lay everything on the line for the sake of power. Others are assuming that Elizabeth would call it quits for her family and embrace the call of the oval office.

In a former post from Parent Herald, it relayed that there is a possibility of the renewal facing cancellation. Also, since there are rumors surging that there are rising difference between Leoni and Freeman, "Madam Secretary" Season 3 might not see the light of day.

As noted by the same post, despite the speculations, the major cast would still return to reprise their roles when "Madam Secretary" Season 3 airs on the small screen. For the most part, it is presumed that Elizabeth would always get to where her family is regardless of the demands that her work might bring.

In a different note, Game & Guide also reported that there is a possibility that Elizabeth might lose her confidence in the upcoming episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 3. However, the storyline is still a mystery until the showrunners render their affirmation.

Moreover, as for the speculation that Morgan Freeman's character would step in to stop the charades of rebellion, death and abandonment, that remains indefinite as well. Even the assumption that Elizabeth would side with the bad side should be taken with a grain of salt in mind.

For the enthusiasts, "Madam Secretary" Season 3 and its renewal are scheduled on Oct. 2 to CBS along with its new time slot set at 9 p.m. ET.
