Kim Kardashian is pregnant. The 31-year-old reality television star and boyfriend, rapper Kanye West, confirmed the news over the weekend.
The proud father-to-be broke the news during a concert in Atlantic City on Dec. 30.
"Stop the music for a second. Can we make some noise for my baby mama?" Us Weekly quoted the 35-year-old "Paranoid" rapper as saying, referring to his three months pregnant girlfriend.
Kardashian later confirmed the news through her celebuzz blog titled "New Year, New Beginnings."
"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us," she wrote, after posting an intimate photo with West. "Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo"
Family members of Kardashian, overjoyed with the news, shared their happiness on Twitter.
"Been wanting to shout from the rooftops with joy and now I can! Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!" sister Kourtney Kardashian wrote.
"Oh BABY BABY BABY!!" mother Kris Jenner wrote, expressing her excitement.
Kardashian later revealed having a smooth and trouble-free first trimester, without any morning sickness.
"I have felt good. I haven't had any morning sickness, but it still isn't the easiest," Kim told Us Weekly. "People always say it's easy and fun. It's definitely an adjustment learning about your body and stuff like that. I've been feeling really good so that's good."
Kardashian started dating NBA player Kris Humphries in 2010 and tied the knot in 2011 in California. However, 72 days after their marriage, she filed for divorce from Humphries on Oct. 31. Shortly after the split, Kim started dating West. Legally, Kardashian is still married to Humphries.
