Pop star and Hollywood actor Justin Timberlake became a first-time dad when his wife, Jessica Biel, gave birth to their son, Silas Randall, in April. Now, the singer-actor is declaring that he's taking time off from doing music and filming movies to become more hands-on with Silas.
As reported on VH1's "The Gossip Table," Justin was said to have made his decision after seeing his wife becoming overwhelmed with their newborn. In order to make parenting a lot less stressful for Jessica, Justin has offered to give full attention to raising their baby boy together.
"Justin Timberlake was meant for fatherhood...the extremely busy performer took time out of his hectic schedule to give his wife Jessica Biel a hand with their one-month-old son Silas Randall," goes the VH1 news story.
The couple has long-term plans of living away from Hollywood as Justin, 34, and Jessica, 33, bought a house in Big Sky Montana specifically to raise the baby away from the spotlight, according to a report from US Magazine.
"Jessica is happiest when she's in the mountains," reveals the source to the news outlet. But for now, the couple and the baby are still staying put in California.
It has perhaps also become such a whirlwind first few months with the baby, as Jessica is said to be setting up her new restaurant business in Los Angeles, which US Magazine says is opening in a few months. Thankfully, other than Justin, the actress is also getting help from Lynn Harless, her mother-in-law, who is more than willing to spend her time with the baby.
"Lynn jokes she wants Silas all to herself!" the source said. Incidentally, Lynn has become such an inspiration for Justin when it comes to parenting. Back when Justin was just starting out, it was his mother who imparted in him a crucial lesson, which is why he's reaping all the success he's having now.
In a feature on Oprah's "Master Class," Justin said his mother told him that challenges are a test of character. "You have to know that there is something in you that you need to get out and show the world but it comes with challenges," the "Sexy Back" singer shared, as quoted by Huffington Post.
"There is going to be a point when you will realize that you will always have to work harder than the others," he added.
There is no time-frame as to how long Justin is planning on taking a break from work, according to the Inquistr.
