Critical thinking may be defined as one's potential to involve in independent and reflective thinking. It is the ability to rationally and clearly think, knowing the logical association between views. Students should learn this skill as according to Peter Facione, critical thinking is a liberating force in education and a powerful resource in one's personal and civic life. Philosophy class is among the courses where students can be trained at critical thinking as it teaches argumentation and logic.
Time Management. School can be the best place to acquire and learn this skill as there are so many things to do like homework, research, projects, exams and more--with only a few hours to complete them all. There are courses offered in school that is related to time management. In these courses, students can learn how to combat procrastination, prioritize important tasks and set effective objectives.
The National Center for Education Statistics says that at "4-year institutions with open admissions policies, 36 percent of students completed a bachelor's degree within 6 years. At 4-year institutions where the acceptance rate was less than 25 percent of applicants, the 6-year graduation rate was 89 percent." There is 4.9 percent unemployment rate in America, based on statistics. Skills should be upgraded and the time to start is soon if not today.
