New dad Ryan Murphy is enjoying fatherhood with its actual spirit. The "Glee" creator unveiled and introduced his newborn son Logan Phineas to the world via Twitter on Jan.1.
"Thanks to everyone for the kind wishes. Logan is one week old and doing great. Happy new year!" wrote the 47-year-old proud father, after posting an adorable photo of baby Logan.
Logan was born on Christmas Eve and is the first child of Murphy and his partner and photographer David Miller. He weighed 6.6 pounds and measured 21 inches at birth.
The proud parents announced their son's birth through an email announcement to their family and friends.
Murphy opened up with The Hollywood Reporter about his plans on having children.
"Yes, hopefully sometime next year. I think I'll be incredibly fun and overwhelmed and all about manners. People always say when you have a child it brings you back to when you were a kid, and I'm excited to do that," Murphy told the magazine. "I had a very rocky, difficult, emotional childhood with my parents. And then I'm excited to have somebody or something come in and say: "Really? I don't care what you think. I'm going to do what I want."
Murphy, who used to perform with a choir during childhood, became famous by creating and co-creating television series like "Popluar" "Glee", "The New Normal" and "American Horror Story". Before entering the TV world, he worked as a journalist for The Miami Herald, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Daily News and Entertainment Weekly.
