Poké Balls are a precious commodity in "Pokémon GO." Poké Balls are used by players to catch and store Pokémon and there are three currently available in the game: Regular, Great, and Ultra.
For players, it's definitely frustrating when you throw Poké Balls at a Pokémon and you end up missing it, wasting a Poké Ball in the process. Here's how you can save lots of Poké Balls in "Pokémon GO."
To save Poké Balls, it's important for "Pokémon GO" players to know how to use the AR (augmented reality) mode efficiently. According to Gamenguide, players should always turn the AR mode off to catch Pokémon easier. Take note that this tip isn't considered a form of cheating, so "Pokémon GO" players won't have to worry about getting banned by Niantic or compromise their progress in the game.
When the AR mode in "Pokémon GO" is turned off, the Pokémon you're trying to catch will be located in the middle, which is an easier way to capture the creature. After turning off the AR mode, players should aim their phone to the Pokémon located at the bottom part of the screen.
This trick is also helpful when you're trying to catch Pokémon that spawn far from a player's location such as Charizard, Dragonite, Rapidash, and Venusaur. This requires using multiple Ultra Poké Balls. When the AR mode is disabled, "Pokémon GO" players will be able to catch these Pokémon with just a single, regular Poké Ball throw.
Another trick to successfully catch a Pokémon and not waste Poké Balls in the process is to take note of the Pokémon rings that surround the creature. The rings have three different colors and levels. Green means the Pokémon is easier to capture, orange means a more challenging catch, and red is the toughest catch.
According to GearNuke, the best chance to catch a Pokémon is when the ring is red and is the smallest in size. "Pokémon GO" players also believe that a Pokémon is harder to capture when it's angry or agitated at the trainer, so it's advisable to wait for the creature to become happy before catching it as the ring's color turns red. Feeding a Pokémon with Razz Berries will make it happy.
Another trick to save Poké Balls is to master accurate throws. The best Poké Ball throwing techniques are "The L Throw" and Curve Ball. Learn more about it here in our previous report.
