When picking up names for their little ones, American parents are thinking alike and seemingly cannot resist some classy names.
According to a report released by Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in Florida, a significant number of American parents named their babies Isabella and Jayden in 2012.
For compiling the 2012 popular baby names list, Birth Registry of the Winnie Palmer Hospital analyzed the 13,857 births that took place in the hospital in 2012. They found about 111 parents naming their daughter Isabella and 90 naming their son Jayden.

The current list supports a report released by New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Health Commissioner Thomas Farley in August. According to the list, Isabella and Jayden continue to remain the top baby names picked up by New York parents the third year. Officials found more than 800 Jaydens and 600 Isabellas in 2011.
In July, Nameberry, a baby name guide website released the most popular baby names of 2012. They found American parents naming their babies after their favorite fictional characters and pop singers. Senna, a character from "Twilight Saga" and Cinna, a character in "The Hunger Games" topped the list. Niall (singer Niall Horan of rock band "One Direction") and Arya (character in "Game of Thrones") grabbed the second position.
