One of the most frequent names being linked to this off season's NBA trade rumors is Nerlens Noel and as per the latest reports, he could go to Cleveland Cavaliers or Toronto Raptors. The question, however, is what team will Noel pick and if Philadelphia 76ers is willing to trade him.
In a report by Mobile & Apps, Cleveland Cavaliers is willing to give up Imam Shumpert in order to get Noel so he could play alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Initially, it was Kevin Love who will reportedly be traded in order to get Noel but due to the recent arrest of Shumpert for driving under the influence, the NBA team has decided to get him off of the team.
The reports first said that Shumpert will be suspended from the NBA league by Cleveland Cavaliers but other reports have started to surface that he would be traded instead. Another team that Cleveland Cavaliers is reportedly thinking of is the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the chance of Shumpert going to the Philadelphia 76ers is more possible since the Noel-Shumpert trade would be the best deal.
Aside from Shumpert, it is possible that Cleveland Cavaliers will throw in Mo Williams and a number of future Draft picks just to get 22-year-old Noel. Noel's shot blocking capability is said to be what Cleveland Cavaliers is after.
In case the Noel deal will not happen, Cleveland Cavaliers is reportedly eyeing to acquire Minnesota Timberwolves' Ricky Rubio, also in exchange for Shumpert. Rubio plays the point guard post and Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly need that.
Another team linked to Noel is the Toronto Raptors, Fan Sided reported. Cory Joseph is reportedly what Philadelphia 76ers need and Noel is what the Toronto Raptors need. If this deal happens, Noel will be able to solidify the front court of Toronto Raptors.
The deal also reportedly works for Philadelphia 76ers as they can let their other players, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid play more.
