The company is already as they are gearing up for the release of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Special Edition this October 28. It is rumored that the company will kick start the development of "The Elder Scrolls 6" really soon.
According to reports, Pete Hines of Bethesda announced during Gamescom that the company is working on two big projects. However, it does not seem that the company is working on "The Elder Scrolls 6" yet. Fans took to Twitter to ask him what they are working on as of now. "The studio is working on what they want to work on. They have other plans before they get to TES6," he replied.
There are reports that even suggest that Bethesda is currently working on "The Elder Scrolls: Online." On completion, this will be one of the very first games to hit PlayStation 4 Pro. The news that Bethesda is working on two projects has created a lot of speculation amongst the fans. It is anticipated that the company is working on a spin-off of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" or a huge "Fallout 4" DLC. Either way, fans are hoping that the company has at the least decided to work on "The Elder Scrolls 6," reported Vine Report.
Those familiar with the game would know that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" occurs 200 years after the events of "Oblivion." From this, it is clear that there is more than enough room to create a spin-off series or even "The Elder Scrolls 6." Fans are speculating on the possible storylines too. The story could cover the events that led to the origin of Alduin and the dragons that attacked Skyrim. It might also throw some light on why he is prophesied to destroy the races of Men and Mer.
It is also possible that "The Elder Scrolls 6" may tackle the backstory of the relationships between the Dragonborn and the Blades. There are innumerous story lines that "The Elder Scrolls 6" could cover.
At the same time, there are reports that Sony has prohibited mod support for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "Fallout 4" on PlayStation 4. The fans who wants to fully experience mod on those games must play on Xbox One instead. "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" will be released on October 10.
