Michael Jackson's Son Prince Graduates From High School With Honors

Prince Jackson is now officially a high school graduate, and his achievement was marked by a mini family reunion with sister Paris Jackson, Katherine Jackson and several relatives present to commemorate the event, according to Us Magazine.

With a new chapter in his life ahead, Prince's graduation sparked emotions among his family members who took to social media to share their pride and joy over the high school graduate. TJ Jackson, Katherine's legal co-guardian for Prince and his siblings, posted on Instagram a photo with the 18-year-old. He captioned it, "Prince, you have grown into an incredibly special young man." He added, "Words can't express how proud I am of you. I will ALWAYS be here to support you wherever life takes you. I love you!"

Prince's aunt, La Toya Jackson, also extended her greetings via social media. "So very proud of @princemjjjaxon," she wrote. "YOU DID! And you did it with Honors!!! #buckleyclassof2015," she wrote on Twitter.

The son of the late Michael Jackson graduated from the exclusive Buckley High School in Sherman Oaks, Calif. on May 29. Prince, who was joyously cheered on by his family on Saturday, made his relatives prouder by graduating with honors, according to New York Daily News.

Meanwhile, an onlooker shared with Us Magazine the reactions of the Jackson family during Prince's graduation ceremony. The eyewitness said that the entire brood in attendance "stood up and cheered and whistled" the moment Prince's name was announced. The source added, "Prince was ecstatic as he crossed the stage and picked up his diploma."

Asked who among the Jackson family members looked the proudest during the ceremony, the source revealed that it was none other than Prince's sister, Paris, who expressed the most pride and happiness on her brother's special day. "She (Paris) was fixing the collar on Prince's shirt," shared the source, "and gave him a big hug and congratulated him."

Both Prince and Paris started going to Buckley in 2010, according to ABC News. After years of getting homeschooled by private tutors, the children of the King of Pop, specifically Prince, requested to be enrolled in a school to be able to interact with other children. "He's (Prince) is a very powerful personality and wants to be with kids his own age," said Brian Oxman, the family lawyer. He added, "I get the sense that Prince really likes business. And he likes speaking."

The ABC News report stated that the private school chosen, Buckley, is also the same school attended by their father as well as other famous personalities including Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Natalie Cole.
