"Limitless" Season 2 renewal is not going to happen on Netflix or any other platform or network, confirms showrunner Craig Sweeny. In a recent statement on Twitter, Sweeny shared that the series is "100% gone."

This comes as a great disappointment to fans and viewers who have been hoping to see "Limitless" Season 2 happen. Fans' hopes were lit up when Sweeny talked about the episodes of the first season airing on Netflix, but it turns out the online streaming giant has no plans of picking up the show for another season.

As most fans can recall, "Limitless" was canceled on CBS after Season 1 because of the show's ratings. Despite the fact that the series was co-produced by Bradley Cooper, the show failed to generate enough interest among the audience.

Several fans took the initiative to create an online petition in hopes of saving "Limitless" from cancellation. Many thought that Netflix would be the best platform for the TV series since it has been known for picking up shows that are well-loved by fans but fail to get enough ratings.

Sweeny, however, reassured fans that he will be working on another project after "Limitless." In a follow-up answer on Twitter, Sweeny also stated that Netflix's interest in picking up the show for Season 2 is 0%.
