The Milwaukee Bucks continue to upgrade their roster as they add up Xavier Henry. The Milwaukee Bucks signed Xavier Henry for their NBA training camp last Monday.
According to the NBA.com, the 25-year-old Xavier Henry was given the chance to play in the NBA as the Milwaukee Bucks signed for the NBA training camp. This would give Henry the NBA shot that he has been looking for since 2015.
Drafted 12th by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2010 NBA Draft, Xavier Henry had an unsuccessful rookie campaign where he only averaged 4.3 points in 14 minutes of playing time per contest. This resulted for him to be traded to the New Orleans Hornets by the next year.
Coming from a hard season with the Hornets, Xavier Henry signed with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2013 NBA off-season. Given a more playing time with 21.1 minutes with the absence of Kobe Bryant, Henry averaged 10 points per game. Due to injuries, Henry was sidelined, assigned to the NBA D-League until waived in December 2014.
Now, as he makes his way to the training camp, Xavier Henry can showcase his talent to the Milwaukee Bucks. Known for his high leaping ability, he can be a part of the 2nd unit of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Henry can provide explosiveness from the bench for the Milwaukee Bucks, not only that, defenders cannot just stand in front of him since he is a 32% shooter beyond the arc. Henry can stretch the floor for the Bucks as well, providing good penetration for bigman such as Greg Monroe, Jabari Parker and John Henson.
If Henry can maintain a good health, no wonder he is a good fit for the fast-paced style of play of the Milwaukee Bucks. Xavier Henry is a strong finisher in both half-court and transition.
As per Fox6, with his D-League average of 15.6 points within 18 minutes per game, Xavier Henry would be a good player from the bench. Fans can't wait to see him back in mid-air, changing shot as he makes his way to an and-1 play.
