'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 2 Spoilers & News: Expect Beyonce, Spice Girls & Disney Numbers; Show Pumps Up After Big Emmy Wins

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" is going to deliver bigger ideas for its second season. After its recent Emmy wins for its musical numbers in Season 1, the show is pumping up for more creative and entertaining song and dance routines.

A recent Entertainment Weekly feature on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," which was published in printed form and not online, revealed that the show is going to do Beyonce, Spice Girls and Disney-inspired numbers. A Reddit member shared some details to the magazine feature, which highlights a Beyonce "Lemonade" parody, a tribute to the Spice Girls and a Disney bit that features Paula on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."

Rachel Bloom, the "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" co-creator and star, did confirm they will be doing a Beyonce in the new season in an interview with FIDM Museum. Melina Root, the show's costume designer, also said that lots of sequins and rhinestones will be involved in the musical numbers' wardrobes.

The cast and crew of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" have been on Cloud 9 this week as the show earned two Emmy trophies at the recent Creative Emmy Awards. It earned Best Choreography for Kathryn Burns and Best Picture Editing, per GoldDerby. Rachel Bloom posted their reactions on her Instagram when the show's wins were announced.

Meanwhile, The CW recently released the first teaser to "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," which illustrates a more colorful and wackier Season 2. It has Paula declaring to her friend Rebecca that she is "so worried" for her, because of recent developments with Josh, but it looks like Rebecca is still living in a bubble.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" also stars Vincent Rodriguez III (Josh), Donna Lynne Champlin (Paula), Santino Fontana (Greg), Gabrielle Ruiz (Valencia) and Vella Lovell (Heather). The series will begin second season on Friday, Oct. 21 at 9:00 p.m.
