Kevin Durant made headlines after he left OKC Thunder for Golden State Warriors. Will Durant make another bold move and leave Warriors for another team in the NBA league? According to reports, Durant might join Indiana Pacers. Meanwhile, Pacers' shooting guard Paul George might leave and join Los Angeles Lakers, instead.
Kevin Durant has been linked to Indiana Pacers for quite a while now. Of course, we understand that most, if not all teams in the NBA league are impressed with Durant's' skills and prowess on the basketball court. Who would say no to the seven-time NBA All-Star in the first place anyway?
According to previous reports, Indiana Pacers is in no way trading Paul George unless it is for Golden State Warriors' Kevin Durant. George is a big asset to Pacers and the team won't let go of him unless it is for a far better player.
Aside from the reports claiming that Paul George will only be available for trade if it is for Kevin Durant, there are rumors that Indiana Pacers may keep both. Having Paul George and Kevin Durant together in a team would be a huge advantage, and that is if Pacers can afford it.
Durant and George played together in the recent Rio Olympics, where both earned a gold medal. Both players have a mutual respect for each other and their tandem could make Indiana Pacers a strong contender against Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference.
However, we might not see Kevin Durant and Paul George on the same team in the NBA league. According to Yibada, Indiana Pacers lack the asset in moving forward to the playoffs. However, they could trade George to Los Angeles Lakers in exchange of D'Angelo Russell and Brandon Ingram.
Also, Paul George admitted that he is a huge fan of Lakers, especially Kobe Bryant. Paul George disclosed that Los Angeles Lakers is a "family-favorite team." So, playing for Bryant's former team might be another option for George.
