'The Big Bang Theory' Canceled? Kaley Cuoco Hints Show Done After Season 10 As It Would Be 'Very Expensive'

Television's biggest comedy series is about to premiere its tenth season and it looks like there's nothing that can topple the show down. But "The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco recently said that it would be "very expensive" to do the series beyond the latest season. Is Kaley Cuoco hinting that Season 10 is "The Big Bang Theory's" last?

Kaley Cuoco was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show when she was asked about the possibility of "The Big Bang Theory" getting an eleventh season. The actress told the host, with a hint of humor, that "it's a very expensive question."

It's no secret that the cast of "The Big Bang Theory" are high-paid actors. Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki are supposedly earning a million per episode, per People. If the actors' contracts are renewed for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11, then they might get another pay raise and the show would require additional budget, hence the added expense.

Kaley Cuoco also agreed with Jimmy that 10 seasons of "The Big Bang Theory" is quite enough. "I was 21 when I started the show," Kaley Cuoco said. "I just cannot believe how much we've all changed."

Kaley Cuoco is not the first to suggest that "The Big Bang Theory" is ending after Season 10. Her co-star Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj, also talked about the possibility that this will be their last run. "Next season, as it stands on our contract, could be the last season," the actor said, per Cinema Blend.

"The Big Bang Theory" executive producer Steve Molaro also did not discount the possibility of ending the show in Season 10. "The reality is that maybe season 10 is the ending point," said Molaro, via The Hollywood Reporter. "The Big Bang Theory" returns to CBS for Season 10 on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8:00 p.m.
