There is no doubt that Apple's upcoming laptop flagship is making headlines even before it arrives in the market. MacBook Pro 2016 is wanted since the first quarter of the year. However, up to this time, the anticipated laptop is never out. According to reports, the new MacBook Pro will not include the headphone jack but it will arrive with Touch ID and OLED function bar.
Are you using the headphone jack of your MacBook Pro? According to the Next Web, MacBook Pro users reported about a survey on how they use their device. One of the questions pertains to the headphone jack in particular.
This made many believe that Apple might go jackless in MacBook Pro 2016. The reports have it that the Cupertino-based tech just ditched the audio jack on their iPhone 7 lineup. The same instance might apply to Apple's future products, including the upcoming MacBook Pro.
Based on the comments, Apple users are still using the headphone jack and they hope that it won't be removed. One user commented, "@mmodelmusic please share link! Really hope apple isn't planning on sanctioning the removal of the jack! @MacRumors." Another user claimed that he is using it 95% of the time when he is using his MacBook Pro.
Meanwhile, Inquistr added that MacBook Pro 2016 will also arrive with USB-C ports and USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gb/s support. The new MacBook Pro is expected to have a very high transfer speed up to 10GB per second. It is also expected to be equipped with OLED touch panel and Touch ID.
Overall, MacBook Pro 2016 would be the thinnest, lightest and fastest laptop from Apple. It could also be the cheapest as some sources claimed that the new MacBook Pro will be offered at a discounted price, making it more affordable than its predecessors.
However, one should still take the OLED bar feature with a grain of salt. Some sources familiar with Apple's plan just laughed about this feature saying that it is impossible. The upgrade is expected to be done by October. So, let's wait for Apple's further announcement.
What do you think, is Apple removing the headphone jack? Will the company add the OLED bar feature? Are you hopeful to see MacBook Pro 2016 next month? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
